NBA
The New York Knicks created history last night at MSG with a 29-point comeback win in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Karl-Anthony-Towns ran into early foul trouble, picking up 2 fouls in the first couple of minutes of the game. With KAT forced to sit, the Spurs capitalized and pushed the offence heavily. Racking up a whopping 29-point lead and carrying a 27-point lead into the half. The Spurs had to have felt as if they had this one locked in. But the Knicks came out firing on all cylinders to start the 2nd half. Stringing together a couple of 13-0 runs, the Knicks eventually made this a game and brought the crowd back to life. Down 1 with 5.7 remaining, OG Anunoby inbounded to Jalen Brunson, who put up a 3 that missed the mark. It looked like the comeback was going to fall just short for the Knicks. But off that botched 3-point attempt by Brunson, OG came flying in, getting a finger on the ball and creating a historic moment at the Garden. A generational, once-in-a-lifetime tip-in by OG Anunoby gave the Knicks the 1 point lead with 1.2 to go, and that was that. OG Anunoby finished with 33 points in the game, going 7-9 at the 3-point line, and Brunson dropped 36 points. The Knicks have taken a 3-1 stranglehold lead in the series now as we head back to San Antonio, Texas, for game 5. Looking for their first championship in 53 years, the Knicks will try to close it out while the Spurs try to bounce back mentally from blowing a 29-point lead and extend the series.
Game 5 is Saturday, June 13th, 5:30 PM PST

My opinion (not gambling advice)
Knicks in 5, this thing’s over. As much as they want to close it out at home, at MSG, I think the Spurs are done. The Knicks are riding high, while the Spurs are riding the lowest of lows.
NHL
The Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights are tied at 2 games apiece. The 37-year-old captain, Jordan Staal, has been stellar for the Canes, scoring in every game of this cup final so far, including 2 goals, and the winner in game 4. Can the veteran keep this madness going, or will the Conn Smythe favourite Mitch Marner and the Golden Knights have an answer?
Game 5 is tonight, Thursday, June 11th, at 5:00 PM PST in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Lines/Odds
Moneyline: Hurricanes -160 Golden Knights +135
Spread: Hurricanes -1.5 at +165 Golden Knights +1.5 at -200
O/U: O 6.0 at -115, U 6.0 at -105
My opinion (not gambling advice):
The Hurricanes are taking this one tonight. The rambunctious home crowd is going to be the momentum advantage they are looking for.
World Cup
The biggest sporting event in the world kicks off today, the FIFA World Cup. With Canada, Mexico, and the United States sharing hosting privileges. The event will span over a month, with the final taking place on July 19th. Starting us off, we have Mexico vs. South Africa, and South Korea vs. Czechia. I’m personally taking Brazil or Portugal to win it all this time.
